Pink Floyd, Blackpool 1967 (prob not 69 as origionally posted)

My first real live concert was Pink Floyd in Blackpool. My friend Dave Sowerbutts suggested that we get tickets. My brother went, also Chris Rossall, but I can't remember who else. We were in the sixth form at Kirkham Grammar School at the time. They shared the bill with PP Arnold and Amen Corner. I took a couple of photographs with my Voigtlander Vito B 35mm camera on black and white film.

Poor quality I'm afraid. However if you look at the curtains and compare with the picture on the PP Arnold post you will be able to tell that they turned the lights down for Pink Floyd.

They had a very simple set, just the house velvet curtains as a backdrop and a couple of coloured spotlights. Their PA would be considered tiny by today's standards. Musically it was amazing, so fresh and differnet, transporting you to another zone. We were hooked. We bought the LP and watched for their TV appearnances on 'Top of the Pops' and 'Old Grey Whistle Test' which occasional get shown.
